The Walking Access Consultation Panel received almost 1400 submissions in response to its consultation document about walking access to New Zealand’s lakes, rivers, coastline and other public land. This summary of submissions has been prepared according to the chapter headings and questions in the consultation document. It provides an overview of submitters’ opinions, not a critique of submissions. The analysis focuses on representing the full range of views expressed by submitters rather than on the numbers of submitters with a particular view.
